“A nickname?” Slightly taken aback from the suggestion of the other. He was never given a nickname before especially after their first meeting, but he couldnt say no. And he thought that this could be a good start of getting closer with one another, nicknames. “Ah really? How was the convention? Did it take part here in Seoul?” He was quite curious, since he was the one who were always interested in events like these. 

“Of course, why not!” Her smile was bright, almost as bright as her eyes, and she nodded her head twice in response at the thought of finding a suitable name for the male before her. Of course, it would take some time and they would have to spend some of it together, but she was sure that she’d be able to come up with something brilliantly ridiculous…or just plain ridiculous. On his inquiry of the convention she’d attended, her head bobbed even faster. “Oh, it was amazing! I met a lot of other YouTubers and so many of my subscribers; I wish something like that would happen again soon!”

“I think most of the people prefer that name, I guess its because its shorter than my real name.” He smiled when the other took his hand and firmly shook it before letting it go, his hand dropping back to his side. “What are you up today Melly? Anything new to do on your channel today?”

            “Oh, really? That kinda sucks,“ she mumbled under her breath. Melanie didn’t exactly want to address him in a way that most people would, and she was already sifting through her mind for suitable nicknames, simply based on the few minutes that she’d been in his company. Not surprising, she couldn’t think of a single thing, and a loud sigh fell from parted tiers before she shifted a hand to tap at her chin. "I’m going to think of a nickname or something for you later on, just watch,” she nodded once before following the flow of conversation and shaking her head. “Ah, there was recently a convention, of sorts, for well-known YouTubers and their subscribers; I uploaded a video of my time there!”

He raised his eyebrows at the sudden pause before he laughs, waving his hand infront of them. “How rude of me, I am Kim Jongin by the way, or you can just call me Kai for short.” He drops his hand lower and opened his palm for the other to shake. “Its nice to meet you Melly.”

            “Kai,“ she repeated with a warm smile, intent on catering the name to memory as quickly as possible. "I think I’ll stick with that,” the girl told him while offering up her hand, and eyes shifted away to take it the obvious difference in size as thin fingers curled as best as they could around his own hand to grip it securely for a shake. “It’s wonderful to meet you, as well!”

Jongin’s eyes landed on the girl’s soft expression, his lips curve into a wide smile. “I browse youtube every now and then whenever I am bored. But who knows, i might have watched a video or two of you in it.” The more he observed the other’s features, the more he became amused to meet someone who was pretty sure quite famous in youtube. “I think your name is, Melly if I remember it correctly.”

            “That’s right!” She flattered, extremely so, that the man before her knew of who she was – along with her videos – and the colour on her cheeks darkened just a fraction more as her hands clapped together just beneath her chin. “It’s great to meet you–…?” Only then did she realise that she had no idea who the stranger was, but she was hoping that he’d catch on to her trailing off and supply her with a name.

 

            The words that reached her ears threw her for a loop; she was certain that the stranger wasn’t speaking to her – or, at least, she thought he wasn’t speaking to her. “What?” she questioned while looking around and, after noticing that no one else was within hearing range of them, it finally hit her that she was the one being addressed and the realisation created a shy hue of rose over pale cheeks. “Hello; I can’t..say that you have,” she started, only to start slightly and hold up a finger. “Or, if you browse around YouTube every now and then, there may be a chance that you actually have.”
