Kristine’s chuckle was light and brief in response to the other’s worry over her ability to guide them to their destination. She’d only been kidding around; the girl was quite good at giving directions like this, especially seeing as she’d taken that particular line more than a couple times."Don’t worry," she paused for a short second as a smile interrupted her speech. "I won’t be leading you to some scary part of town nor to your demise. Promise." Her smile was a fully fledged grin at this point; wholly amused by the hint of a whine clinging to the other’s words.

Shifting her weight to her right foot whilst pushing her small bag higher up onto her left shoulder, the girl spoke, reassurance clear in her tone. “Of course. I’m free right now anyway and like I said, I’m pretty much going the same way as you so, why not?” Kristine’s answer came with a shrug, her gaze on the slightly smaller female. She found her gratitude towards her proposal odd; never expecting the other to be that happy to have been offered a helping hand. Her reaction was sweet but still, Kristine wondered why she seemed so grateful. Was the girl perhaps not used to offers of help like this? Maybe she was just genuinely grateful for everything she got. Nevertheless, Mel was quite the character, it seemed.

“You think so? Thanks.” Kristine lips curved languidly into a delighted smile; she loved her name and enjoyed the fact that someone else thought it lovely, to quote Mel’s words. “It’s the one that leaves from that station not far from here; platform six it leaves from.” Kristine’s eyes fell to her phone, unlocking it to check the time. “Ah, and it should be here soon, so let’s get a move on, shall we?”

”𝓘 knew that!” She responded quickly and with a rapid nod of her head. In truth, somewhere inside of her, she knew that the girl – Kristine – wouldn’t lead her to her doom, but there was a small part of her that would always worry of things like that. For a moment, she couldn’t help but wonder if she was too quick to trust, only to realize that she couldn’t exactly help such things and being too cautious wasn’t exactly the way that she lived life. So, with a bright smile soon appearing over the lower half of her face, she clutched just a bit tighter at her cup and took another large sip, finishing it off. “Really, I know – I think I’m just a bit overwhelmed with everything. Me getting lost happens more than I’m willing to admit.”

𝓢he felt her head give another, much less dramatic, nod in response to Kristine’s reassurance; it was going to be nice to have a traveling companion – at least, for the remainder of her journey, she knew it would – and she couldn’t wait to find out more about the woman that she’d been brave enough to approach. “That’s really great; thank you, again. I’d probably be a sobbing mess right now, if you weren’t around.” She’d always been taught to appreciate things and this was one of the things that she could hold tight to. In the back of the petite female’s mind, she was thinking of ways to properly thank her new….friend? No, no, she probably didn’t see things that way. Even still, maybe treating her to a meal would do the trick. It was probably odd, especially in the city that they lived in, to see one who has such expressive forms of gratitude, but Melanie was from Italy; it was a major difference, one that she couldn’t seem to get herself accustomed to.

”𝓨es, definitely!” she responded with a warm smile before turning her attention elsewhere. Not too far from here? She couldn’t help but wonder how long it would have taken her to find the right station if Kristine weren’t around; but, now wasn’t the time to focus on ‘what ifs’ – she needed to get back to campus. The budding linguist already knew that she’d have a worrisome roommate on her hands once she stepped through the door to her dorm and she wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. “Alright, let’s go!” Before she even took a step, however, she paused, looking around in obvious confusion. “I…wait, which way do we go again?”
