chaxn:

It was terribly wrong, Hakyeon thought. Since the early morning, he was told about the location, yet typically busy with everything but the most important information about their schedules, he was the one to ignore every single detail. Now he was facing the consequences. It was ridiculous how much he hated this situation despite the fact that it was no one’s but his fault. If only he was more responsible for once. What somehow soothed everything, was the hilarious reaction of the girl, somehow woken up from her thoughts, almost suddenly scared by his appearance, small smile crossing Hakyeon’s plump lips in return.

Right now, all he had was 20 minute left, one carton of banana milk in his bag and a hug hope that a random girl would be his rescuer, a hero without a cape on his way to wherever he had to go right now. With a small cough, he offered another smile once he finally got the girl’s attention before taking out a small paper with the address of the desired location. Some big venue, that’s all Hakyeon remembered when recalling his manager’s rambling. Pursing his lips, he tried his best at explaining. “Well— do you possibly know where this venue is? I truly have no idea where I even am right now since I’ve never been in this district. Every information might be useful for me. “ Not to mention how late I will be, Hakyeon mentally added, his eyes locking with the woman’s as he was waiting for any possible reply.

Her eyes shifted to the slip of paper that the stranger held and, taking a few moments to read off the address, she instantly frowned. Directions were never her strong suit and, the fact that someone needed help with finding the location of something or other was beginning to give her a mild dose of anxiety. Silently cursing no one and nothing in particular, she took her time with carefully reading each character that had been scribbled onto the parchment and, after battling with herself with whether or not she was actually thinking of one place and coming to the conclusion that she was, in fact, thinking of another, her face brightened in triumph and she mentally gave herself a fist pump of victory.

”Yes!” she told him in excitement while bobbing her head rapidly. Melanie didn’t want to think about how long he’d actually been waiting for an answer, or how long he had before he had to be where he needed to. “That’s actually in the direction I’m going – it’s near my University; c’mon! We can go together!” Chocolate orbs curved faintly into crescents of happiness, simply because of the fact that she had a travel partner for the day, even if she didn’t exactly know who he was. “The train is the quickest way to get there,” she started while taking dainty steps in the direction of the station that she was supposed to be heading off to before he even showed up. “Then, it’s just a short walk from where we get off; shouldn’t take more than about 10 to 15 minutes!”
